Another route you can take is towards Mandraki, which used to be an old battle station during the 16th century and was protected by its two small castles.

From the port of Hydra and the statue of Mialouli, you will reach at about 15 minutes Saint Onofrios bay. After 5 minutes walking you can descend to Kastraki , one small coastal castle of the 17th century, you can see its remains.

After 10 minutes from Kastraki and after passing a private Church, you reach Mandraki, where there are houses, a tavern, a church, organised beach and beach bar.

Walking toward the hill you reach after a few minutes Kastro, meaning Castle, of the 16th century, which formed to its current status during the Greek Revolution.
